A sparkling water water with low sodium levels

The company Les Grandes Sources de Wattwiller, which markets this water, has established a partnership with the Research Foundation on Hypertension (FRHTA). This partnership will maybe inspire other companies to reconsider the sodium level of their sparkling water?

Reassessment of AFSSA for a fermented soybean as a new food ingredient: a mixed opinion

In the report published in January, the AFSSA considers that although supplementary information provided were satisfactory concerning the production process of the new ingredient and the units used to state arsenic and heavy metals levels, the supplementary information remain non satisfactory, in particular concerning the soya variety that is used, the identification of the alpha-glucosidase inhibitor active substance. The AFSSA also considers that the term “nutritional support” must not appear on the labeling.

Supplementary information is therefore needed in order to envisage the maketing of the new ingredient.
